Officers responded to an address on Donor Avenue around 6:26 p.m. to assist the Division of Child Protection & Permanency in serving a civil court order, according to Elmwood Park Police Chief Michael Foligno.
Officers and a representative from the division made contact with Almalik H. Hogan, 36, who was informed of a judge-signed order granting temporary custody of his children to their mother, Foligno said.
Hogan “became uncooperative and irate,” police said, “subsequently barricading himself inside of the residence by locking all of the doors and covering the windows with sheets.” His children were also inside the home at the time…
