Ex-mayor charged with raping teen will remain in jail until Friday hearing

Former Dumont Mayor Andrew LaBruno allegedly sprayed an unknown substance into his hand and placed it over the mouth of a teenage boy, causing the incapacitated victim to become dizzy, and then forced him to perform fellatio on him, a criminal complaint read at a court hearing this afternoon.

The Jersey City police sergeant and former Assembly candidate will remain in custody until a first appearance pretrial detention hearing on Friday morning.
