A Black New Jersey Transit police detective has filed a lawsuit alleging she faced a pervasive pattern of discrimination at the hands of her supervisor.
Det. Safiya Daniels filed suit in Essex County Superior Court on Dec. 15, claiming harassment and hostility from former NJ Transit Police Lt. John Sullivan, including threats of removal from her position and false disciplinary charges.
