Man killed in Jersey City hit-and-run as driver flees scene on Tonnelle Avenue
Jersey City, NJ – A man was struck and killed Monday night in a fatal hit-and-run on Tonnelle Avenue, and the driver who hit him fled the scene, according to the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office.
The incident occurred around 8 p.m. near the intersection of Tonnelle Avenue and North Street. Responding Jersey City police officers found the victim unresponsive on the northbound side of the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet released the man’s identity…
