Sgt. Nicholas Abruscato was on patrol when he saw a blue Honda CR-V traveling eastbound on Rutherford Avenue with a severely cracked windshield obstructing the driver’s view just after 10:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 5, near Park Avenue, according to Lyndhurst Police Chief Richard L. Jarvis.
The vehicle also did not have a front license plate and had dark tinted front windows that prevented officers from seeing inside, the chief said.
After following the vehicle, Sgt. Abruscato ran a registration check and learned the registered owner, Janilly Perezmatos, of Nutley, had a suspended New Jersey driver’s license, police said…
