Two people have been arrested and charged in connection with the death of 18-year-old Kimberly Olmos, who was shot to death inside the Harborview Terrace public housing complex in Hell’s Kitchen last year.
The most recent arrest occurred early Wednesday morning, January 7, when a 16-year-old male was taken into custody by NYPD within the Midtown North Precinct. Police say the teen has been charged with manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
According to the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, the 16-year-old, identified in court records as Andrew Moore, was arraigned on an indictment following his arrest. Prosecutors requested that Moore be remanded without bail, a request that was granted by the court. His next court appearance is scheduled for January 12 in Part 73 of New York County Supreme Court.
The arrest follows another on December 3, when Abdel Velazquez, 18, of 403 W40th Street, was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon and tampering with physical evidence. Velazquez was also arrested within the confines of the Midtown North Precinct, according to police…
