Man shot, killed by police officer in front of NJ liquor store: prosecutors

NEWARK, N.J. (PIX11) — A man was shot and killed by a police officer in front of a Newark liquor store on Monday, according to the Office of the Attorney General.

Prosecutors said officers encountered a crowd near Ross Street and Evergreen Avenue around 1 p.m. It’s unclear what led to the officer firing his weapon.
