In a recent court hearing, a Brooklyn Federal Judge extended her condolences to Karl Jordan Jr., the man previously accused of murdering hip-hop icon Jam Master Jay, after he suffered injuries from an assault while incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn.
Judge LaShaan DeArcy Hall conveyed her genuine sorrow during the proceedings, stating, “I was genuinely saddened to hear of the assault that happened to you. That should have never happened. It looks like you are on the mend,” addressing Jordan, whose conviction for the murder of Run-DMC’s Jam Master Jay was overturned last December.
Jordan was hospitalized after being stabbed during an incident at MDC in February 2025, although it remains unclear if Judge Hall was referring to this specific attack.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons has yet to respond to inquiries regarding the situation…
