The two defendants in a double fatal 2021 Jersey City shooting received consecutive life sentences and 18 years, respectively, yesterday, authorities said.
Yesterday, Hudson County Superior Court Judge Nesle Rodriguez imposed consecutive life sentences in New Jersey State Prison against Omire Rios-Williams in connection with a double fatal shooting that occurred in Jersey City in 2021.
Rios-Williams, 24, of Jersey City, was convicted at trial of two counts of murder, one count of conspiracy to commit murder, four counts of attempted murder, four counts of aggravated assault, two counts of unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
He was sentenced to two consecutive life terms in New Jersey State Prison for each murder count. Four 18-year sentences relating to the attempted murder charges and a five-year sentence relating to the weapons offenses will run concurrent to the first life sentence…
