At 6:48 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 14, officers responded to Pikeview Terrace after a resident reported their 2018 Hyundai Elantra was stolen, Secaucus police said. Officers located a similar Hyundai Elantra parked across the street from the resident’s home on Pikeview Terrace, police said. It was determined that this Hyundai Elantra was stolen from Jersey City earlier that morning, police said.
On Sunday, Nov. 16, the 2018 Hyundai Elantra that was stolen from Pikeview Terrace was recovered in Jersey City after it was involved in a motor vehicle crash with another vehicle and the occupants fled the scene, police said.
An investigation determined Daniel Cartagena-Guerro, 18, and Chase Baisden, 19 were responsible for the motor vehicle thefts and they were arrested at their homes in Jersey City, police said…
