Mayor Solomon accuses ex-Mayor Fulop of mismanaging Jersey City funds

NEW YORK (PIX11) – Jersey City Mayor James Solomon joins PIX11 News after revealing that his team’s fiscal assessment of the city’s budget shows a gap of over $250 million, about a quarter of the city’s overall budget.

The Mayor places heavy blame on his predecessor, Steven Fulop, for what he’s calling a crisis, accusing the former Mayor of mismanaging funds and passing poor budget plans.

Solomon also spoke on the ICE raids taking place in Jersey City, saying he is telling the Trump administration to redirect the billions of dollars going to ICE into ways to solve the affordability crisis…
