Caffe Buon Gusto, an Italian restaurant in uptown Hoboken, is temporarily closed after suffering a fire on Wednesday, February 11th. In an Instagram post to customers, the restaurant said that it’s canceling all existing reservations until it receives approval from the fire department to reopen. This comes after a fire on Hudson Street earlier this week and another restaurant fire in Jersey City. Per an Instagram post from Hoboken Public Safety, Hoboken Fire Department responded to a two-alarm fire at 918 Washington Street at approximately 11:10PM on Wednesday, February 11th.
According to the post, “Upon arrival, firefighters encountered smoke in the first-floor restaurant, Caffe Buon Gusto. Residents in two units above were safely evacuated.” The fire was located in the rear of the restaurant and extinguished by 1:30AM. See the full post below…
