Clarkstown, NY – A Clarkstown resident who served both with the New York City Police Department and the Army National Guard died Friday after suffering a medical emergency while deployed to Kuwait, according to officials.

Officer Sorffly Davius, assigned to the NYPD’s 79th Precinct in Bedford-Stuyvesant, was also a major in the Army National Guard. Officials said he died at Camp Buehring while supporting the U.S. mission overseas on or about March 6th, 2026…
