A Jersey city official — who repeatedly yelled at cops that he was mayor’s deputy chief of staff in a profanity-filled tirade during his arrest — is scheduled to appear in municipal court this week on driving under the influence charges.
Phillip Orphanidis, who was deputy chief of staff under then-Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop, was arrested on Sept. 30 in an incident that was reported at the time by the Jersey City Times, a local news site.
