Two New Yorkers Charged After Dozens of Stolen Checks Found

Two people from New York City are facing charges in Lebanon County after state police say they were caught with dozens of stolen checks, fake IDs, and counterfeit debit cards during a traffic stop last week.

Elijah Ellington and Stacey Theriault, both from New York City, were pulled over on Interstate 78 last Thursday (March 5) after Pennsylvania State Police troopers spotted what they described as “indicators of criminal activity.” Troopers searched the vehicle and reportedly found 29 checks stolen from the mail, along with multiple fraudulent identification cards and debit cards.

Both suspects have been charged in connection with the alleged crimes. They are each being held on $100,000 bail…
