EXCLUSIVE: New Pasta Bar Coming to Hoboken from Team Behind Barbes + La Boheme

Hoboken knows what makes good Italian food good, from fresh ingredients, homemade sauce, and a secret recipe passed down from someone’s Nonna. Now, local restaurant owners are looking to bring a touch of Italy to Hoboken in the form of made-to-order pasta. Pronto Pasta, coming to 300 Clinton Street, will allow customers to choose from a selection of pasta, sauces, and toppings and watch the chef cook it all together for a unique pasta dish. Here’s what we know about Pronto Pasta coming to Clinton Street in Hoboken.

About Pronto Pasta

Pronto Pasta comes from the team behind Barbès, a French Moroccan restaurant at 1300 Park Avenue, and La Bohème, a French eatery at 233 Clinton Street. They’re also the team behind Cafe Tati, located at 401 Bloomfield Street. The owners are familiar with the Hoboken food scene and have been looking to bring this artisanal pasta concept to the city for years.

An Italian chef is in charge of the kitchen, adding to the authenticity of the concept. Stepping into Pronto Pasta, customers will be greeted with a large pasta bar. That’s where customers will be able to choose from a handful of pastas, sauces, and topping options and watch the chef cook it all together. The owners made sure to include a gluten-free pasta option, too.

There will be a separate pasta-making station in Pronto Pasta. The chef will be making pasta fresh every day right by one of the big street-facing windows, allowing people to stop and watch the process both inside and outside the restaurant…
