A delegation of students from Sparta earned top honors at the 2026 JewQ International Jewish Knowledge Championship, bringing home gold, silver and bronze medals after competing against regional finalists from 25 countries in New York City.
The competition, organized by CKids International, is modeled after a spelling bee format but tests participants on Jewish knowledge. Organizers said the Sparta students advanced to the international stage after outperforming more than 4,500 participants worldwide.
