Two multi-alarm fires erupt in New Jersey overnight into Saturday

Two large fires erupted in New Jersey overnight into Saturday, damaging buildings and vehicles, but harming no one.

A five-alarm fire ripped through an abandoned chemical factory in Paterson just before 11:30 p.m. Friday, hurling flames and smoke high into the sky and damaging nearby vehicles, ABC7 reported.

The block-long abandoned building on Piercey Street was engulfed in flames when emergency responders arrived, and water supply issues made the fight even more difficult.
