A report was issued from the National Weather Service on Sunday at 5:11 a.m. for dense fog until 10 a.m. for Hudson, Bergen, Essex and Union counties.
“Areas of fog have developed over the coastal areas early this morning with visibilities generally under 1 mile. Fog may become locally dense with visibilities approaching or becoming less than one quarter mile at times. Extra caution should be used if traveling and utilize your low beam headlights,” according to the weather service.
