BAYONNE, N.J. (PIX11) — Just a few weeks after Heights Hospital – formerly known as Christ Hospital – in Jersey City permanently closed, employees at Bayonne University Hospital wonder if they will suffer the same fate.
Both facilities are owned by Hudson Regional Hospital, and all Bayonne employees received emails from the Department of Labor last week, warning of layoffs.

Last Wednesday, the Department of Labor sent all 967 Bayonne University Hospital employees a WARN notice, short for ‘Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification.’
In part, the email states: “Bayonne University Hospital will be implementing a layoff as the result of a corporate restructuring…effective June 29th.”…
