The Jersey City Council reviewed a $396,000 contract for the Grant Rite Management Corporation during Monday afternoon’s caucus meeting.
The city’s finances have faced harsh scrutiny since new Mayor James Solomon, sworn in on January 15th, declared that the city is facing a $254 million deficit.
During the caucus, Fiscal Analyst Vivian Webb explained that she was there to discuss the renewal of the aforementioned proposed one-year contract renewal that includes compliance.
“They service the entire city, not just the police department. Outside of supporting disaster relief and other compliance like FEMA, they’ve been supporting all compliance when it comes to grants and the city,” she explained…
