Waldorf Astoria New York Is Hosting a Dog Adoption Pop-Up This Weekend

On Saturday, April 11, Waldorf Astoria New York is teaming up with Best Friends Animal Society to bring adoptable dogs straight to the hotel’s iconic Peacock Alley corridor. Those who attend could walk out with a new family member. The pop-up runs from 11 am to 2 pm, and the whole family is welcome.

Best Friends Animal Society has helped save millions of shelter animals across the country, and this weekend, they’re bringing that mission to Midtown. And as all pet lovers know, there are few better things you can do for a child than raise them alongside an animal. I was fortunate enough to grow up with multiple rescue dogs and cats in my home, and I’ve raised my kids the same way.

Meet Adoptable Dogs at Waldorf Astoria Pop-Up This Weekend

Besides multiple adorable dogs and a potential best friend, for the parents, there’s a cocktail in it for you. Peacock Alley bar is serving a specialty drink called the Barktini, with a portion of every order going to Best Friends Animal Society.

The event also marks the launch of the Waldorf’s new Bark Avenue pet package, which includes a branded dog bathrobe, raincoat, rain boots, a curated pet menu from Executive Chef Patrick Schaeffer, a welcome bottle of CharDOGnay or ZinfanTAIL (yes, really), plus a plush bed, bowl, toy, and doggy bag.
