N.J. high school student allegedly brought gun to school

An 18-year-old student from Essex County was arrested and charged after he brought a gun to school on Thursday, officials said.

Edward Tamay, of West Orange, was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a firearm at school, carrying a firearm in a prohibited area, possession of firearm by minors and receiving stolen property after bringing the gun to West Orange High School, township communications officer Joseph Fagan said.
