BELLEVILLE, N.J. (PIX11) — On Thursday, Maria Carlos returned to the site of the Belleville fire to see what remained of the mattress warehouse where she worked for six years.
She was supposed to go to work on Sunday, but had to call out.

In Spanish, Carlos told PIX11 News, “All our work, our hard work, was lost here due to negligence.” She said she had no idea how the business passed inspection.
