Battle Creek teens charged after police recover four guns during Kalamazoo ‘X-Train’

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Three Battle Creek teens have been charged after police say they were armed during a mobile nuisance party, otherwise known as an “X-Train,” in Kalamazoo.

The trio: Kahleel McCracken, 18, Jahien Norwood, 18, and Carmone Trigg, 19, were arraigned Monday on the following charges, according to court records obtained by News Channel 3:

  • Kahleel McCracken: two counts of felony firearm, two counts of assaulting, resisting and obstructing a police officer, and carrying a concealed weapon
  • Jahien Norwood: carrying a concealed weapon, assaulting, resisting and obstructing a police officer and felony firearm.
  • Carmone Trigg: carrying a concealed weapon

All three are scheduled to return to court for probable cause hearings on June 11 and preliminary examinations on June 18.

Officers with the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety’s (KDPS) Crime Reduction Team were cracking down on gun violence Saturday night when they were called to the “X-Train” at a liquor store off of Riverview Drive.
