X-Train party attendees could face jail time if new Portage policy passes

PORTAGE, MI — Portage city officials are considering an ordinance amendment to address nuisance parties and other large gatherings.

Portage hasn’t seen the same large mobile nuisance parties that have taken place in Kalamazoo, said Portage Public Safety Chief Matt Wolfe. But the amendment is needed in case the parties do travel into Portage, he said.
