ATHENS TWP., MI — One of the area’s most colorful events takes place this weekend as the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi hosts its 2026 Annual Pow Wow.
The event is open to the public with free admission at the Pine Creek Indian Reservation Pow Wow Grounds, northwest of Athens.
Centered on “Honoring Our Elders,” the Pow Wow features grand entries, host and guest drum groups, dance specials, contests, food, and a variety of cultural activities throughout Saturday, June 20, and Sunday, June 21…
