KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A former Kalamazoo Public Schools (KPS) teacher has filed a federal lawsuit against the district and a former principal alleging sexual abuse and First Amendment violations, according to court documents obtained by News Channel 3.
At the center of the lawsuit is former Milwood Middle School Principal Aaron Sauter who, according to court documents, “quietly” resigned at the beginning of June following accusations made by a teacher at the school referred to in the lawsuit as “Jane Doe.”
Doe alleges Sauter coerced her into a sexual relationship and would retaliate through sexual abuse or use his position as an administrator at work whenever she tried to put an end to it.
