KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, Mich. — More than two months after the condemnation of Wildwood Off Main, one resident remains caught between a home she has been told to leave and a housing market that has not offered her a path forward.
At 67 years old, Cindy Dunbar says she is ready to leave the condemned apartment complex. The problem, she says, is finding somewhere else she qualifies to live.
“I’ve reached out to agencies in the community, churches, United Way,” Dunbar said. “I’ve toured numerous places, and again it’s not that there isn’t something available. I don’t meet the qualifications, per se.”…
