DEA of Western Michigan hopes to raise awareness on dangers of fentanyl

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) of Western Michigan says fentanyl is the #1 killer of men who are 18 to 45 years old – and a lot of times someone might not even realize they are taking it.

Two milligrams of fentanyl, about the size of the tip of a pencil or a few grains of salt, is enough to kill someone.

It’s being pressed into illegal drugs that look legitimate, according to the FDA, which is why they’re hoping to raise awareness about how dangerous it is…
