A driver was arrested late Sept. 13 by Calhoun County sheriff deputies following a pursuit and alleged domestic assault and kidnapping.
Deputies spotted a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and being driven recklessly near Verona Road and McAllister Road about 10:30 p.m.
“A deputy activated the patrol vehicle’s emergency lights to initiate a traffic stop and investigate. The vehicle stopped, and a female passenger exited and called to the deputy for help, urging the deputy to apprehend the driver. The driver then fled in the vehicle, and the deputy initiated a pursuit,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement…
