Deputies: 1 hurt, 1 arrested after hit-and-run in Galesburg

GALESBURG, Mich. (WOOD) — A woman was taken to the hospital after a hit-and-run in Galesburg Tuesday night. The driver was arrested in Kalamazoo after witnesses tipped off deputies.

It happened around 10 p.m. at the intersection of W Michigan Avenue and S Grant Street in Galesburg, according to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office. Someone called 911 to report that a car had hit a bicyclist. First responders arrived to find a woman who was hurt. She was taken to the hospital.

The driver left the scene but witnesses were able to describe the vehicle’s make and model to deputies as well as the license plate number. That information was shared with other police agencies, and the vehicle was found in Kalamazoo…
