KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Fox Motors has acquired two dealerships in Kalamazoo: LaFontaine Mazda Kalamazoo and Mercedes-Benz of Kalamazoo.
Both dealerships are currently located at 543 W. Michigan Ave. near Westnedge Avenue, but Fox Motors says it intends to move them to “all-new, state-of-the-art facilities” in Kalamazoo. No other details were immediately released.
“Our plans for all-new facilities represent a significant, long-term investment in Kalamazoo and our commitment to being part of this community for years to come,” President and CSO Diane Maher Coe said Monday in a release.
Fox Motors buying Maple Hill Auto Group near Kalamazoo
Mercedes-Benz of Kalamazoo will keep its name, while LaFontaine Mazda Kalamazoo will be renamed Fox Mazda Kalamazoo.
DeVos-owned Fox Motors was founded in Grand Rapids in 2000. It now has 55 locations, 64 brands and just over 2,000 employees in Michigan, it said.
