KALAMAZOO COUNTY, MI — A farm worker died after suffering a head injury on the job, the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration said.
The incident happened Sunday, Sept. 27, in Richland when the 34-year-old farm equipment operator was doing preventative maintenance on a silage truck when their head became caught between the tailgate and the bed of the truck, the agency said.
The agency shared preliminary details about worker deaths of 2026 as reported to the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration. The 38 deaths include any believed to be covered by the MIOSH Act, the agency said…
