KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — A man has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of an 18-year-old woman in Kalamazoo on Monday. Police say her death was in retaliation for the death of another woman killed the day before.
Police identified the woman shot and killed on Fox Ridge Drive Monday night as Amaure’ Dora-Lee Lynniah Harris. The 18-year-old was killed in retaliation for the shooting death of 49-year-old Latraysa Brown early Sunday morning, Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety investigators said in a release.
A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and felony possession of a firearm in relation to Harris’ death following the search of an E. Cork Street home on Tuesday, KDPS said.
