KALAMAZOO, MI – After 40 years of “living in sin,” Barbara Rider decided it was time that Fred Sammons “made her an honest woman.”. So, on Friday, Jan. 19, after a supper of leftovers at the couple’s Kalamazoo home, the 92-year-old Rider got down on her knees and proclaimed to Sammons, 96, “I think we should get married.”
