Police: Man arrested for armed robbery in Battle Creek

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — A man was arrested and is set to be charged for robbing a woman inside her Battle Creek home, police say.

Around 11 a.m. Monday, Battle Creek Police responded to a home on Battle Creek Avenue between Caroline Street and Washington Avenue for a report of an armed robbery. They found a 38-year-old woman who said she had been robbed inside of her home at gunpoint. She said the suspect took money from her.

Police identified the suspect as a 48-year-old man and road patrol officers found him in minutes. They also found two firearms police believe were used in the robbery. The man, who was not identified by police, was arrested and booked into the Calhoun County Jail. He is set to be arraigned on multiple felony charges.
