KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — A K-9 was stabbed in Kalamazoo while a suspect was being taken into custody Tuesday, police say.
The suspect was armed with a knife and stabbed the K-9 “multiple times,” according to Kalamazoo County dispatch . The dog was taken to the emergency vet and the suspect was taken into custody, according to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety .
Police did not say why the suspect was being taken into custody. The K-9 was not named by police. KDPS said it would release more information soon.
