Kalamazoo County pours money into gun violence reduction efforts

KALAMAZOO, MI – The Kalamazoo County Board of Commissioners approved a Tuesday night resolution to spend $593,400 to fight gun violence. The Feb. 6 board meeting started with Chair Tami Rey briefly summarizing the spending recommendation from the county’s gun violence reduction committee, which includes Rey, Vice Chair Pro Tem Jeff Heppler, and Commissioners Monteze Morales and Jen Strebs.
