Deputies: 2 arrested days after high-speed chase

PORTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities say two people were arrested days after leading police on a high-speed chase through Van Buren and Kalamazoo counties.

The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were involved in a high-speed chase on Jan. 31 that started in Paw Paw and went into Kalamazoo County.

The driver, Brandon Lee Bloomfield, and passenger, Amanda Schiero-Farrow, abandoned the car at a mobile home park on KL Avenue. A K-9 unit was unable to track down the two suspects, according to the sheriff’s office.

On Tuesday, the sheriff’s office said the Michigan Department of Corrections got information that the two were hiding at an address in Porter Township, near Lawton. Authorities were able to get a search warrant, then both were arrested without incident and taken to the Van Buren County Jail, according to the sheriff’s office.

Bloomfield faces charges of fleeing and eluding, possession of methamphetamine and parole absconder. Schiero-Farrow was arrested on a felony warrant for dangerous drugs out of Kalamazoo County.
