PORTAGE, MI — Portage Central Middle School’s gymnasium was filled with the echo of students passing and spiking volleyballs on Thursday, Feb. 8. PE Teacher John Dunlop’s 7th and 8th grade students were going head-to-head in volleyball matches to end the day. The students had just finished a week of learning volleyball fundamentals, Dunlop said.
