KALAMAZOO, MI — A trial began Wednesday, Feb. 14, for a teen accused of killing another teenager. Kahree Louis Compton, 18, of Kalamazoo, is charged with one count of open murder and felony firearms. Compton, then 16, is accused of fatally shooting Jashaw Omar Jones, 17, on Dec. 16, 2022, at Interfaith Apartments.
