KALAMAZOO, MI – It’s been a quick road to recovery for a Kalamazoo police dog who survived stab wounds to the throat while apprehending a suspect. K-9 Sledge, a 4-year-old Dutch Shepard, has returned to duty with the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety less than two weeks after a stabbing attack.
