The Manistee County Sheriff’s Office said a passenger on a motorcycle died in a crash on Friday.
Sheriff Brian Gutowski said a man and woman were headed west on Glovers Lake Road in Pleasanton Township around 6 p.m. when the man lost control on a 90-degree turn. The passenger, Nancy Hill of Kalamazoo, was thrown off the bike.
Sheriff Gutowski said Hill was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Neither person was wearing a helmet.
The crash is under investigation, but the Sheriff’s Office said alcohol was not a factor.
