Reconstructed Kalamazoo bridge reopens 3 years after being deemed unsafe

KALAMAZOO, MI — A $1.6 million bridge is reopening Friday, Aug. 2 after five months of reconstruction work – and three years of being closed. City officials will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Inkster Avenue Bridge in the Westnedge Hill neighborhood at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, officially opening it to traffic.
