KALAMAZOO, MI — Police are investigating after a passenger train struck a pedestrian, the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety said. At 9:36 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2, KDPS officers responded to a report of an Amtrak train hitting a pedestrian along the train tracks north of East Michigan Avenue, between Harrison Street and Riverview Drive.
