Man shot while riding motorcycle in Battle Creek

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — A man was shot while riding his motorcycle in Battle Creek on Friday.

Early Friday morning, officers with the Battle Creek Police Department were sent to the area of Grenville Street and Lathrop Avenue after a motorcyclist was shot in the abdomen.

The 35-year-old man, who was uncooperative with police, refused to be taken to the hospital and was treated at the scene, the police department said.

No one else was hurt.

It’s unclear what led up to the shooting.

The shooting remains under investigation.
