BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – A suspect is in custody for allegedly shooting a 23-year-old Battle Creek man and leaving the scene, according to the Battle Creek Police Department. BCPD said officers were dispatched to the intersection of Cliff Street and Nelson Street shortly after 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13, and found a man with a gunshot wound in his left thigh.
