Realtors face major changes in payment structure after $950M settlement

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Realtors are facing major changes in the way they get paid to buy and sell homes, stemming from a lawsuit filed earlier this year. The National Association of Realtors and several major real estate brokerages agreed to pay over $950 million to settle federal lawsuits claiming they forced homeowners to pay inflated commissions to sell their homes.
