BATTLE CREEK — The Battle Jacks and Marshall Community Credit Union are hosting the third annual Back to School Movie Night.
“Remember the Titans” will be featured on the field at 8:30 p.m. Sept. 7 at MCCU Field. Gates will open at 7:45 p.m.
“The movie will be shown on the field, so attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets,” according to a Battle Jacks press release.
There will also be inflatables and yard games to enjoy before the movie. Hot dogs, pop, candy, popcorn and ice cream will be for sale at the concession stands. Popcorn will be free for MCCU members who show their card at the concessions stand.
“This event is free and open to everyone. We’re offering this to the community because we believe in providing fun opportunities to the community year round when the Battle Jacks aren’t playing,” Denny Smith, the team’s general manager, said in an email. “This is also a great way to celebrate an awesome season and the end of the summer for those who’ve come to games this summer or those who haven’t had the chance to make it out to MCCU Field.”
